Campus Beautification

Alpharetta High sits atop 80 acres of a hillside. Since its dedication in 2004, the work to provide landscaping and safe areas for students has been ongoing. The Foundation created the beautification initiative to encourage service projects by our students and community. We have supported numerous Eagle Scout projects. The beautification plans include landscaping, paver bricks, and stadium painting on the outside of the facility and student recognition cases and walls on the inside of the building.

Field House for AHS Athletes

To be considered one of the top programs in the state and nation, it is critical that Alpharetta High School has facilities for health and wellness for our young people. Students need a facility to learn and practice fitness and a place where showers and lockers are available for them. This facility is one that needs both facilities for boys and girls. Over 75% of our students participate in some extra curricular program, and the Raider Field House is needed to provide space and support for our students.

Truck for the Band

admin | Friday, August 14th, 2009 | No Comments »

Each year the booster parents of our fine arts department spend thousands of dollars renting trailers and trucks to move instruments and displays throughout the state and country. Having a Fine Arts truck would allow the hauling of equipment to be safer as well as more cost effective. We proudly want to advertise our school with the AHS Raiders truck so that everywhere we go people will recognize our outstanding fine arts program!

Active White Boards for Every Classroom

The AHS Foundation has determined that it can best support the academic achievement of our students by providing Interactive Whiteboards in every classroom of the school.  This technology not only provides incredible curriculum that supports our Georgia State Standards, but it further allows students to interactively engage in lessons and teachers to monitor student progress immediately.  Whiteboard technology becomes the computer and textbook for students. Donors are encouraged to fund an Interactive Whiteboard for their teacher of choice.
